About the shop

Our village shop is more than a place to buy groceries. It is a friendly meeting point, a convenient top‑up for daily essentials, and a visible sign of the community working together. By choosing to shop there, you help keep a vital local service open for Castlethorpe residents of all ages

The shop is run by Dina and Udi Modhwadia who have been with us since the start of our journey in 2007

In the shop you will find a practical range of everyday essentials, including:

• Bread, milk, butter and dairy products

• Fresh produce (subject to availability)

• Tinned and packaged foods, snacks and confectionery

• Soft drinks and other beverages

• Newspapers, magazines and lottery or other services (if applicable)

• Household cleaning products and toiletries

• Seasonal items and occasional special offers

The shop is typically open from 8.00 a.m. until late seven days a week. Please note that hours may vary on Sundays, bank holidays and in exceptional circumstances. Post Office opening hours can be found here.
